TYPING/POSTING RULES
Rule #1: When your character is speaking, surround their words in quotation marks, and quotation marks only!
Example: "Hey Harry, what's up?"
Rule #2: When doing actions, type regularly. This means no asterisks (**), colons (, or anything else.
Example: Jasmine walked up to Harry and smiled.
Rule #3: When expressing your thoughts, please use [ i ] [ /i ], without the extra spaces, of course.
Example: Relax; you can do this; it's just a talking hat.
Rule #4: When talking out of character (though you should be in character most of the time), please add the OOC speech at the END of your post, and surround it in double parentheses { (()) } or put 'OOC:' in front of it.
Example: OOC: Do you think Harry's cute?
OR
Example: ((Do you think Harry's cute?))
OR
Example: ((Do you think Harry's cute?))
Rule #5: No webspeak whatsoever. That means no instant messaging slang or anything. I don't want to see 'how r u, i'm doin fine. lol' in any posts. Please use full and complete sentences, and correct grammar and punctuation. We post in third person PAST tense. Spelling can have the occasional miss, though there is a spell checker!
Rule #6: This rule will now be enforced strictly. I (Hermione Granger) have seen sites where they MAKE you post thirty lines consistently. And here, we have no length. So, from now on, all posts will be at least 8 sentences long. Failure to do this will result in warnings, posts being deleted, etc. We will watch your posts closely. I think it should be good practice for those of you who don't do this already. If you want to go past, that's fine as well. I do understand, sometimes you have a bad day, and that's okay too. If you normally post well, and have an off day, we'll know, and we understand that.
